What Motivated me in weight loss?

In my previous post, I had mentioned about blood test and how it played a crucial role in my weight loss journey.

In September 2021, I finally decided to do something about my weight as I was obese and wasn’t feeling confident when I looked at myself in the mirror. I went past numerous times a fitness studio, but never had the urge to get in and do something about my fitness.

Interestingly around that time, I started to develop an unexplained pain in my finger. I went to a new GP as my regular GP was not available due to unfortunate circumstances.

After the introduction, the first thing she told me was, Pradeep, the last blood test you did was in 2015 and it is time to do it again.

Got the script and I knew at that time without evening doing the blood test was all my numbers will be a concern. The blood test report came, and it was not a surprise to both my GP and me.

Some Key parameters below. My other parameters were normal. Sigh!

    • Cholesterol was high.
    • Blood Pressure was moderately high.
    • Calcium deficiency.
    • B12 deficiency.
    • Vitamin D deficiency.
    • Obese.

The only solution I had, to move away from Obese was to…

  • Join a gym and work with a fitness trainer and take the sessions seriously unlike my previous efforts.
  • Do all the tests that my GP had asked me to do.
 To be continued…

If this has not motivated me to take my weight loss journey seriously, I do not know which one would have!
